There is a lot to think about when joining a co-op!

Here are answers to common questions we receive each year.

When does H.O.P.E Co-op meet?

We meet twice a month on Fridays from about 8:40 am to 12:15 pm. We try to meet every other Friday, but some times we need to meet two Fridays in a row due to conflicts with the church buildings we are renting.

How do I register my family?

If you are new to H.O.P.E Co-op, begin the registration process by reaching out to us through our contact form. A member of leadership will send you additional information about our co-op.
Registration for each upcoming school year usually begins in June with current families get the first opportunity to sign-up and then new families. Registration remains open until classes are full or through August, whichever comes first. Once classes are full you can be added to our waitlist and we will contact you if space opens up.

Do I need to register my family every year?

Yes. Every family is required to register annually.
You will need to register each child you have participating in the program. The only exception is if you plan to keep your nursery age child with you during co-op, please do not register them as a student.

How does the co-op communicate with the families?

Email is our main form of communication. Please remember to check your email often and for sure each Tuesday before we meet. Read the emails carefully so you are aware of what is happening at H.O.P.E Co-op!

What if someone in my family is sick?

We ask that children attending H.O.P.E. have been fever-free for 24 hours, no vomiting/diarrhea for 48 hours and no croupy/productive cough. As a general rule, if you wouldn’t want your child to catch it, don’t bring it and spread it! If your child gets sick at co-op, we will contact you so that you can remove them from the classroom setting.

What happens if a co-op meeting needs to be cancelled?

The simple answer is you will receive an email from us by 8 am the day of a co-op meeting, if we need to cancel or reschedule. Weather has proven to be a factor in the happenings of H.O.P.E. If the Dassel-Cokato schools are closed, we will not meet. If the Dassel-Cokato schools have a 2 hour late state, we will still meet. Please use your best judgement on if you should drive to co-op or not on those days. Also, because we are guests using church buildings, if they have need of the buildings, we may need to postpone our meeting.

What happens if I choose to withdraw?

Contact us by email and let us know that you would like to withdraw from our co-op. Families who withdraw before our first co-op meeting will receive a full refund of the H.O.P.E fee. Families that withdraw after our first co-op meeting will not receive a refund. The yearly H.O.P.E. fee is used to help cover the cost of many things including class supplies and name tags. Most of these items are purchased prior to the start of the school year and is why, if you withdraw after our first co-op meeting, there is no refund.
